I joined MIXT as a graphic designer in May 2023, shortly after the salad chain exited a visual identity refresh. The foundation of my role began as a print and design generalist who could execute across daily brand marketing and menu change needs.
But with a greater calling to elevate the brand across all touchpoints, my scope naturally increased. Some of my favorite outputs include reestablishing brand guidelines, directing photoshoots, redesigning MIXT’s ordering platforms, and building partnerships with peer brands and vendors.
New Store Openings:MIXT has 20+ locations across Northern and Southern California as well as Dallas. As the prime opportunity to recruit new salad lovers, MIXT meticulously designs its new locations with green building principles—sometimes, literally—and creates a splash with preopening signage, opening week activations, and myriad local outreach efforts in new markets. MIXT needed a scalable package for delivering activations that delight guests from their first visit, and we designed one using the iconic octagonal bowl as a signature pattern.
Elizabeth Turner Salad:MIXT partnered with influencer and psychotherapist Elizabeth Turner to create a limited-time vegan salad. We built a visual look that distinguished the unique product from our core offerings, and curated an event for Elizabeth and her friends to celebrate the launch.
Additional Partnerships:MIXT also works with a host of other ecomm and lifestyle brands on menu items and limited-edition merch that elevates perception as lifestyle brand as well as a functional and delicious meal fix.
